Obituary
Zeb Guffie Jr, 81, of Franklin passed away Monday, June 17, 2019.
Born in Macon County he was the son of the late Zeb Guffie Sr. and Edna Angel Guffie. He attended Windy Gap Baptist Church and was a loving husband, father, and papaw.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Laura Belle Long Guffie of Franklin; children, Rita Hall (Jimmy), Terry Brown (John), James Guffie, and Jerry Guffie, all of Franklin; brother, Jim Guffie of MO; sister, Jean Farmer of Franklin; grandchildren, Jody, Angela, Joi, Nathan, Michaela and Shane; great grandchildren, Reagan, Aspen, Anna Rose, Elijah, Ezra, Kandler, Alyssa, Neaveh, Camron, and Dyrah; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, June 20 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Bishop, Rev. Steve Reeves, and Dr. Jim Guffie will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Brown, Jimmy Hall, John Brown, Shane Hall, James Guffie, and Jerry Guffie.
