Obituary

Wilma Louise Russell Dalton went to her reward on Sunday, June 29, 2008.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Irada Dills Russell. In addition to her parents she was predeceased in death by her husband of 52 years John J. Dalton and two brothers, Carl and J.D. Russell. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She loved her flowers, especially roses and could make anything grow. She was very active in her church, Prentiss Baptist Church and loved to tell anyone she came in contact with about her Lord. She was a very loving mother and friend to all.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Ledford and husband Doug; one niece, Debbie Gadberry; two nephews, Tom and Dewayne Russell and one great-nephew, Brandon Gadberry. She was known as "Grannie" by many who knew and loved her, especially three special children, Cade, Jeb and MacKenzie. She is also survived by a host of friends and cousins. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves, Rev. Charles Stevens and Rev. Michael McMahan will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 1, 2008 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Frank Gadberry, Dr. Jerry Maize, Mike Wooten, Ken Carpenter, Pat McConnell and James Tallent.
Ed Moses, Cade Doolittle, Kevin Sanders, Charles Tabor and Bill Mason will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Prentiss Baptist Church C/O Faye Wilson; 1437 Belle Dowdle Rd. or the Lewis Rathbun Wellness Center; 121 Sherwood Rd. Asheville NC, 28803.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
