Willie Mae "Granny Angel" Angel, 101, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Franks and Eller Scott Franks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Angel who died in 1980; two sons, John Wiley "Bud" Angel and Bob Angel and two daughters, Maude Angel and Patricia Ann Angel.

She is survived by nine daughters, Lois Angel of High Point, Neal Ryals of Franklin, Frances Smith of Franklin, Linda Woods of Conover, Nannie Belle Ledford, Rachel Cabe and husband Bobby, Lela Guy and husband Ed, Edna Angel and Lucy Hardin all of Franklin; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 30th, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Judson Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
