Ray Pendergrass, 64, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Vester Pendergrass and Gaynell Duvall Pendergrass. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Ledford and Jane Dickard. Ray worked in construction; was a member of Burningtown Baptist Church and was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with family.
He is survived by his companion of many years, Ollie Edwards; four children, Pandi Hayes (Matt) of Ava, MO; Renee Metcalf (Lee) of Sylva; Stephanie Teem (Jeremy) and Derick Pendergrass (Krystal) both of Franklin; four brothers, Darrell Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Charlie Pendergrass and Roger Pendergrass all of Franklin; twelve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 27th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Fouts will officiate. Burial will be in the Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 26th at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Corbitt Hall, Tom Smith, Jay Seay, Jacob Parrish, James Waldroop, Todd McGaha, Zack Fouts and Jim Fouts.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Connie Gibson and Jerry Wilson.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
