William "Bill" Thomas Boatwright, 91, of Franklin, passed away, Monday, January 14, 2013.
Born in Vidalia, GA, he was the son of the late Louie Boatwright and Willie Smith Boatwright. Bill was a US Army veteran and served during WWII. He was a member of Patton United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Carolyn Grier Boatwright; four sons, William L. Boatwright and wife Kay of Hayesville, NC, Thomas E. Boatwright and wife Marie of Shooting Creek, NC, Richard A. Boatwright of Westville, FL and Jeff L. Boatwright and wife Evelyn of Franklin; brother, Daniel Boatwright of West Palm Beach, FL; thirteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16th, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eric, Dwayne, Keith, Rich and Doug Boatwright and Tim Cochran.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
