Obituary
William "Wayne" Bailey, 71, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010.
Born in Leeds, AL, he was the son of Christine McLaughlin Bailey and the late William Bailey. Wayne worked as a structural engineer for NASA, working in the space program for 36 years. He was a master gardener. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 40 years Hilder Williamson Bailey; three children, Russell Wayne Bailey of Moody, AL, Michael Griffin of Orlando, FL and Sheree Brown of Brevard, NC; sister, Joyce Windham of Columbus, GA; eight grandchildren, Steven Brown, Toby Brown, Jennifer Quilty, Holly Romero, Jaime Fletcher, Stephen Holzman, Justin Holzman and Kelly Griffin and four great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Dr. Robert Brown will officiate.
Memorial donations can be made to Baptist Childrens Home.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
