W. F. Sheppard, Jr., 87, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2006.

A native of Winter Haven, FL, he was the son of the late W. F. Sheppard, Sr. and Fannie Reeves Sheppard. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Harry Hunter Sheppard and two sisters, Bronnamae Grubbs and Audrey Maddox. He was a US Navy WWII veteran; he had worked at Burger King for the past seventeen years; was a member of Desota Masonic Lodge 105 in Riverview, FL; and was a member of Longview Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Jean Carter Sheppard; two daughters, Jeanne Lorraine Miler and Lisa Anne Langford, both of Franklin; two sisters, Catherine Guernsey of New York and Nettie Sims of Valrico, FL; six grandchildren, Kimberly Grizzeffe, Jeffrey Sheppard, Nicole Jean Miler, Bryan Douglas Miler, Michael Hooks, and Keith Hooks; three great grandchildren, Savannah Grizzeffe, Madison Hooks and Braxton Hooks; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Hazel Smock; and many friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 4, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Trull will officiate.
