Obituary
Walter "Wally" Frank Soderstrom, 97, of Highlands, NC, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2017.
Born in Canton, OH, he was the son of the late Frank and Ester Lindstrom Soderstrom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel May, who died in 1996. Wally served as a lieutenant in the US Army Air Corps. After 43 years, he retired from US Steel in Chicago as an Environmental Engineer. He was a member of the Swedish Club of Florida and was a Lutheran by faith.
He is survived by two sons, William George Soderstrom of Highlands and James Soderstrom of Aurora, IL; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
No Services will be held.
