Obituary

Walter Roy Floreani, 64, of Franklin, passed away Friday, December 7, 2007.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of Theresa Masoni Floreani and the late Americo E. Floreani. He served briefly in the U.S. Army Reserves. Walter was a Professor in the Health Sciences Department at Western Carolina University. He was an artist, water colorist, avid sports fan and music lover. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 42 years, Annette Givens Floreani; two children, Michael Floreani and wife Elizabeth of Wimberley, Texas and Tracy Floreani and husband Mike Hoffman of Lawrence, Kansas; sister, Sandra Culbertson of Omaha, Nebraska; brother, Anthony Floreani of Omaha, Nebraska; and two grandchildren, Samuel Floreani and Mary Floreani.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 11, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Matthew Kauth will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Monday, December 10, at Macon Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will follow at 6:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Bart Givens, Roger Givens, Terry Kinnear, Richard Lisella, David Trigg, Tracy Zontek, Dick Seitz, Joe Nardello and Piper Joe Todero.
