Obituary

Wade Lindsay, 84, of Franklin, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015.

Born in Saint Pauls, NC, he was the son of the late Arthur Lindsay and Bertie Rogers Lindsay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Earline Faircloth Lindsay who died in 2011; son, Wade Lindsay, Jr. who passed away 2003 and five brothers and sisters, Thelma, Louise, Raymond, David and Horace Lindsay. Wade was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved bluegrass music; singing and playing the guitar, banjo and mandolin were a few of his talents. Wade was an excellent cook and especially enjoyed being outside barbequing and working in his garden. He loved his poodle, Rodger immensely and was a beloved member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by six children, Janie Cobb and husband Robert, Randall Lindsay of Fayetteville, NC and Tammy Levanger of Pooler, GA, Daniel McDuffie and wife Gwyn of Ocala, FL, Linda Stewart of Highland City, FL and Ricky McDuffie of Florida; sister, Evelyn Frease of Fayetteville, NC; brother, Lloyd Lindsay of Fayetteville, NC; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Dusek will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
