Wade Virgil Gibson, 63, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Harley Gibson and Lesa Roper Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Morris Gibson who died in 2006. Wade loved old cars, driving and going to car shows. He enjoyed collecting caps, model cars and wood working. He was a member of Iotla Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Woodall O'Connor and husband John of Franklin; four sisters, Doris Dow and husband Joe of Palmetto, FL, Dale Sisti and husband Joe of Franklin, Gale Thomas and Wayne Stamey of Franklin and Glenda Hughes and husband Chris of Clayton, GA; brother, Judson "Jud" Gibson of Franklin; two grandchildren, Travis Woodall and Carmen Woodall Price; three great grandchildren, Kaylie Woodall, DaymnOwen Price and Chase Woodall and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 21st, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. David Lee Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20th, at Macon Funeral Home.
