Obituary
Virginia Cecilia Schmidt, 83, of Franklin, NC, entered into rest on Saturday, May 13, 2006.
A native of New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles LaSalle and Ellen Marshall LaSalle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Geyer.
She is survived by her husband, Robert J. Schmidt of 63 years; three children, Russell Schmidt of Lawrenceville, GA, Robin Futch of Dade City, FL and Robert J. Schmidt, Jr. of Cullowhee, NC; two sisters, Edna "Skippy" Pescod of Franklin and Frances Anderson of Franklin; and seven grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Vic Greene will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angel Hospice Foundation, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
