Obituary
Vinnie Mae Martin Marr, 98, of Bryson City, NC, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 11, 2005.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Julius Lee Martin and Aleka Bradburn Martin. She was married to the late Lambert Marr who died June 28, 2000. Vinnie graduated from Asheville Normal Teachers College and Western Carolina University. She was a retired school teacher, teaching for over 40 years. Vinnie was a member of Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Bryson City.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Brush Creek Baptist Church, Bryson City. Rev. Jim Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in the Tabor Cemetery, Bryson City.
The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:00 p.m. Saturday, at the church.
Pallbearers will be Kep Biggs, Johnny Marr, Gilmer Breedlove, J.T. Ammons, Billy Marr and J.R. Marr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brush Creek Baptist Church, C/O Kathy Bennett, Box 6640, Hwy. 28 South, Bryson City, NC 28713.
