Vance Henry Robbins, 72, of Franklin, passed away, Monday, January 7, 2013.
Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late Alex Robbins and Hattie Grant Robbins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Zeb Manuel Robbins, Arnold Robbins, Birdell DeHart, Della Plemmons and Mattie Nell Elliott and a granddaughter, Alyssa Winfield. Vance enjoyed coon-hunting and fishing. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Golda June Robbins; two children, Maurice "Bunky" Robbins and Edna "Peanut" Robbins, both of Archdale, NC; six step-children, Kimberly Sparks of Irwin, TN, Tim Hill and companion Virginia Rogers of Franklin, Tammy Reynolds and companion Todd Griswold of Franklin, Dawn Loflin and husband Eddie of Thomasville, NC, Hank Hill and wife Billie of Sophia, NC and Newly Hill and wife Marcella of Greensboro, NC; brother, Lawrence Robbins;special family friend, Bill Winfield; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11th, in Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Barry Bowman will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hill, Todd Griswold, Hank Hill, Newly Hill, Dale Houge and Brandon Reynolds.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
