Obituary
Tonda Elders Woodard, 47, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of Edith Sanders Elders of Franklin and the late Houston Ervin Elders. Tonda worked in the outpatient business office at Angel Medical Center for 25 years. She was a member of Watauga Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Summer Woodard of Franklin; fiancé Alan McWilliams; loving pet, Bentley; special aunt, Marie Sanders and several more aunts and uncles.
Funeral Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Watauga Baptist Church. Rev. Wesley Price, Rev. Roy Lowe and Rev. David Lee Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Clouse, Bruce Wooten, George Roper, Mark Berry, Mitchell Bishop and Pedi Tippett. Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of Angel Medical Center outpatient business office.
Memorial donations can be made to Angel Medical Center, Outpatient Medicine Expansion, 120 Riverview Street, Franklin, NC 28734. (for new cancer wing)
