Tommy Lee Elmore, 64, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018.
Born in Gaston County, NC, he was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Edward Elmore and Hilda Horton Elmore and a brother, John Edward Elmore. Tommy was a U.S. Marine Corp Vietnam Veteran; mechanic for Freightliner Trucking in Mt. Holly, NC; proud member of Local UAW 5285 and former owner of Elmore's Fish Fry in Franklin, NC.
He is survived by his wife Sibyl G. Elmore; five children, Jerimiah James Elmore of Gastonia, NC, Joshua Grey Edge of Franklin, NC, Summer Elmore McKinney (Jeremy) of Gastonia, NC, Jeremy Ray Edge (Brittney) of Gastonia, NC and Samantha Joan Nusz of Palm Coast, FL; brother, James Paul "Doc" Elmore (Candie) and their son, Ashton of Franklin; grandchildren, Alysha, Zack, Kali, Brook, Jericah, Madison, Nathaniel, Jaxson, Briella, Lillian and Madelyn and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 12, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. John Benton will officiate. Burial will be in the Shepherd Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
