Obituary
Timmie Lee Collins, 46, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of Ruby Guffey Collins and the late J.L. Collins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Donnie Collins and Ronnie Collins and three sisters, Sara Collins, Nancy Collins and Glenda Collins. Timmie worked as a CNA and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother, Ruby Guffey Collins, he is survived by his "adopted daughter", Christy Wilson of Franklin; brother, Ikey Gene Collins of Franklin; three sisters, Barbara Thomas, Brenda Hill and Kathy Kendel all of Franklin and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 21, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, January 21, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Macon Funeral Home, PO Box 1175, Franklin, NC 28744 to help the family will expenses.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
