Thomas Sherwin Whitworth, 61, of Otto, NC, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016.

Born in Frederick, OK, he was the son of the Orville L. and Phyliss Rogers Whitworth. He was a US Postal Mail Carrier. Thomas loved working in his vegetable garden, the yard and was an avid Florida Gator fan.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patti Porter Whitworth; daughters, Wendy Lyon of Pigeon Forge TN, Meghan Bussa and husband, Homer of Weiden, Germany; son, Joshua Patrick and wife Cortney of Franklin, NC; grandchildren, Coleman and Griffin Patrick, Savannah and Kiana Bussa, Gary Thomas Lyon; sisters, Jeannie Eckbloom and husband, Dave of Sanford, FL, Pam Polgrean and husband, Eddie of New Smyrna Beach, FL; brother, Jim Whitworth and wife, Edel of New Smyrna Beach, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.
