Thomas William "TW" Stiwinter, 83, of Cullowhee, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018.

Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late L.C. Stiwinter and Ruby Fox Stiwinter. TW was a member of Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, coon hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Rice Stiwinter; four children, Darren Stiwinter of Cullowhee, Scott Stiwinter of Hendersonville, Darrell Stiwinter of Rock Hill, SC and Kay Boggs of Rock Hill, SC; one brother, Jack Stiwinter of Waxhaw, NC; two sisters, Ronnie Stiwinter of Franklin and Lola Mae Stewart of Jodytown; three grandchildren, Drew, Garrett and Hannah and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 16, at Yellow Mountain Baptist Church. Rev. Carl Stepp, Rev. Keith Ashe and Rev. Rick Potts will officiate. Burial will be in the Stewart Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 pm. Thursday, prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Stiwinter, Drew Stiwinter, Chris Stiwinter, Roger Stiwinter, J.L. Stewart and Jeff Stewart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Mauldin, Lewis Stiwinter, JR Stiwinter and Jim Stiwinter.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Stewart Cemetery Fund, C/O Jeff Stewart, 3401 Yellow Mountain Road, Cullowhee, NC 28723.
