Thomas Brian Henry, 62, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011.

Born in Etowah Co., AL, he was the son of the late Melvin G. Henry and Velma D. Williams Henry. Thomas was a US Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War where he received a Bronze Star. He was a life member of VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108 in Franklin and was past commander of American Legion Post 258 in Jonesboro, GA. Thomas was a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America and helped erect the memorial at the Veteran's Memorial Park in Franklin. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Elaine Self Henry; son, Brian Henry of Easley, SC, two sisters, Judy Watts and husband Harold of Opelika, AL and Kathy Henry and husband Gordon Johnson of Valley, AL; brother; Tim Henry of Glencoe, AL; twin brother, Ted Henry and wife Dale of Glencoe, AL; half-brother, Richard G. Henry of Middleburg, PA; two grandchildren, Kayla Henry and Chad Henry; three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Potts will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.

The family will receive friends from 7-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, at Macon Funeral Home.
