Obituary
Thomas Phillip Cowie, 87, of Franklin, NC, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 25, 2006.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Gordon Beatty Cowie and Alice Bertha Greening Cowie. Thomas was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a retired tool and die maker.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Winona "Nonie" Cowie; two daughters, Carol Allen of Orlando, FL and Susan DeMiranda of Largo, FL; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 28, at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Wayne Allen and Rev. Maria Edmonds will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church General Fund, 66 Harrison Avenue, Franklin, NC 28734; American Heart Association, Memorial Donations, Mid Atlantic Affiliate, Memorial Processing Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058 or the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
