Obituary
Theodore Frank "Ted" Bates, 77, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012.
Born in Highland Park, Michigan, he was the son of the late Frank and Cora Grant Bates. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Bates. Ted retired from Mako Marine and he was a member of Iotla Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Ana Bates; three children, David Bates of Franklin, Peggy Bates of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Kim Bates of Buford, GA; five grandchildren and seventeen nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20th, at Iotla Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
