Obituary
Teena "Tigger" Welch, 48, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010.
Born in Pontiac, MI, she was the daughter of the late Dover and Dorothy Evans Welch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Griffith who died November 29, 2006. Teena enjoyed working with young people; she was fearless and liked a challenge. She will be remembered as a fun, loving, honest and loyal friend to many. She attended Rose Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by four brothers, Perry Welch of Franklin, Michael Welch of Silverado, CA, Richard Welch of Costa Rica and Jeffery Welch of Franklin; special cousin, Linda "Daisy" Ehlers of Long Creek, SC and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 18 at Iotla Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves, Rev. Stacey Woods and Rev. Morris Tippett will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, at Macon Funeral Home.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1648, Franklin, NC 28744.
