Tamsey Carpenter Chastain, 79, of Otto, passed away Monday, April 2, 2012.

Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late William Carpenter and Lilly Southard Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lee Chastain; brother, Ralph Carpenter and five sisters, Irene Holloway, Sue Pruett, Bertha Taylor, Hazel Merck and Louise Carpenter. Tamsey loved to read, enjoyed listening to Christian music and was a very active member of Coweeta Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children, Wanda Janow and husband Don of Otto and Randy Chastain and wife Aggie of Granbury, TX; six grandchildren, Tracy Janow Baggett of Evans, GA, Rodney Chastain of Greensboro, NC, Shay Janow of Otto, Randy Lee Chastain of Birmingham, AL, Michelle Quintos of Atlanta, GA and Michael Chastain of Lexington, SC; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4 at Coweeta Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate.

Memorial donations can be made to Angel Hospice General Fund.
