Talmadge Ray Lillard, 89, of West Columbia, SC, formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019.

Born in Rockingham County, NC, he was the son of the late James P. Lillard and Lottie Scott Lillard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Albert James Lillard and Richard Irvin Lillard, his sister, Margaret L. Woolard and grandson, Joseph R White. Ray attended Washington High School in NC and retired from Diamond Construction in 1968.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Betsy Peele Lillard; daughter, Judy Kaye White (Frank) , brother, Robert W. Lillard (Cindy); sister, Mildred Asby (Bucky), nephew Curtis Woolard, raised by Ray and Betsy, Grandchild Elizabeth White and great grandchild Ava White.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 17, at Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.
