Susan Miriam Jones Ross, 66, of Franklin, NC, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016.
Born in Birmingham England, she was the daughter of the late Harry Jones and Miriam Lawton Jones. She emigrated first to Vancouver, B.C., then to the US in the 70's, spending time in NYC, Washington state, Oregon, and Georgia. Sue adopted her new home in the North Carolina Mountains with enthusiasm.
Sue studied at The Arica Institute, later practiced organic gardening, was an accomplished legal secretary, and dedicated her free time to pet rescue and care. She will be remembered in communities in both Georgia and North Carolina for her determined efforts to save many of our four legged friends.
She is survived by her ex-husband and longtime friend, Dana M. Ross of Atlanta, GA, her animal companions, relatives in England, and many other friends from varied walks of life.
