Obituary
Sue "Dutch" Lee Gillespie, 80, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
Born in Jackson Co, NC, she was the daughter of the late Vernon C. Lee and Janie Adams Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Gillespie. Sue enjoyed being outdoors and working in her yard. She was an avid pet lover and supporter of the Humane Society. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bryson City.
She is survived by two children, Barbara "Bo" Bryant and husband Edward of Franklin and Debby Gillespie of Franklin and one granddaughter, Bridget Bryant.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 21st, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Bob McCollum will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Rob Lee, Dick Lee, Danny Gillespie, Rick Lee, Ned Weigle and Randolph Bulgin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
