Sophia Pendergrass Holland, 93 of Franklin, passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Wiley Pendergrass and Vinnie Roper Pendergrass. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Seviert Holland, Reggie Frank Holland and Rickey Holland; daughter, Melody Breedlove; two sisters, Viola Boyce and Maggie Pendergrass and two brothers, Lyman Pendergrass and Urban Pendergrass. Sophia was a member of Cullasaja Assembly of God. She enjoyed gardening and canning and loved children and animals.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Pangle (Tommy) and Azelia "Zee" Woods (Royce) both of Franklin; two sons, Ron Holland (Rhonda) and Tracy Holland both of Franklin; two brothers, Robert Pendergrass of Rome, GA and Jerry Pendergrass of Calhoun, GA; twelve grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 1, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Woods, Derik Breedlove, Chase Holland, Dakota Holland, Joey Holland and Mark Holland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Crisp, Travis Crisp, Chris Burns and Daniel Niehoff.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
