Sonja M. Anderson Meals, 47, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011.

Born in Odessa, TX, she was the daughter of Theda "Carolyn" L. Anderson of Franklin and the late Charles "Andy" Anderson. Sonja was a registered nurse. She loved history and encouraged her husband with his ministry. She participated in the First Maryland Southern Campaign and Revolutionary War re-enactments. She was a member of Franklin Church of Christ.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael Meals; father-in-law, Paul Meals of Mystic, CT; brother, Michael Anderson of Pauls Valley, OK; two sisters, LaRessie Mason of Franklin and Carol Beck of Fulshear, TX; nine nieces; one nephew; five great nieces and three great nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 16 at Franklin Church of Christ. Jeff Arnette and Radford Penland will officiate. Burial will be in Rabun County Church of Christ Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15 at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Paul J. Meals Jr., Paul J. Meals III, Mark Mason, Steve Beck, Basilio Rocha, Mike Anderson, Brandon Johnson and Benji Johnson.
