Simon "Paul" Jelonek, 57of Franklin, passed away at his home on Saturday August 16, 2014.
Born in the United Kingdom he was the son of the late Simon and Barbara Warner Jelonek. He was a member of the Rhodesian Army and owner and operator of the Cullasaja Exxon and the Cowee Convenience and Deli. He attended Burningtown Baptist Church. Formerly a farmer and professional big game hunter in Africa, he loved the outdoors especially off shore fishing with his son. He was a very dedicated family man always putting his family first.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Dee Jelonek two children Andre Jelonek and wife Merissa of Clayton NC and Michelle Midgley and husband Saville of the United Kingdom; sister, Suzanne Cook of the United Kingdom, and three grandchildren Kaylynn Ann Jelonek, Landon Simon Jelonek, and Olivia Barbara Midgley.
Memorial Service will be held at 2 pm Saturday Aug 23, at Burningtown Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Kinard will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Four Seasons Hospice House Foundation, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
