Shirley Anne Fleming Moore, 57, passed away on July 5, 2013 at her home in Franklin, North Carolina.
She was born on April 15, 1956 in Columbus, Georgia to F. Douglas and J. Shirley Bartlett Fleming. Shirley grew up in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from Windsor Forest High School in Savannah, Georgia in 1974. Shirley married Charles "Chuck" Moore in 1975 in Savannah, Georgia. They were happily married for 37 years. Shirley was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed all manners of sewing and crafts. She was best known for her heirloom smocking, her loyal service dogs that never left her side, and her gifts, homemade with love. She loved spending time with her family and ever-growing circle of friends. Her most beloved treasures were her grandchildren who lovingly named her Dobbie Doo.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, F. Douglas and J. Shirley Fleming and her brother, F. Douglas Fleming, Jr. Shirley is survived by her husband Chuck of Franklin, North Carolina; her daughter Jennifer (Lance) Freeman stationed at Robins AFB, Georgia; and daughters Laura and Courtney Moore of Savannah, Georgia; her sister Mary (Michael) Wynne of Tignall, Georgia; her sister Norma (Patrick) Murray of Pensacola, Florida; her grandchildren Delaney, Charlie, and Evie Freeman and Annie Herring; and her constant companions Little Man and Murphy.
A visitation will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home on Hodgson Memorial Drive in Savannah, Georgia at 6:00 pm, July 10, 2013 during which time the family will be greeting friends and relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 11, 2013.
