Shirley Golding, 68, of Cherryville, NC formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away December 23, 2007.

Born in Miami, FL, she was the daughter of the late John Jereb and Ercel "Tiny" Hillhouse Jereb. Shirley was a tutor at Macon Middle School for many years; was a Real Estate Agent and a member of the Franklin Board of Realtors. She was a member of Maidens Chapel Methodist Church. Shirley enjoyed gardening, jewelry making and sewing.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ernie Golding; son, Bob Golding and wife Jenny of Franklin; daughter, Deanna Wagner and husband Bernie of Franklin; brother, Gordon McGowan and wife Doris of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren, Melissa Wagner, Josh Wagner, Joshie Jones, Daniel Sevigny, Katie Sevigny and Deaven Golding.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, December 29, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
