Shirley Jean "Nana" Edwards Gill, 84, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013.
From Springfield, IL, Shirley was the daughter of the late Leslie and Opal Edwards. She lived in California, Arizona, Miami, Florida, and Key West, Florida prior to retiring to Franklin with her husband. Shirley was an interior designer for major commercial businesses in the greater Miami area for many years. She enjoyed traveling, music, and fishing and loved all of her family and friends here in the mountains.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, George Henry Gill, and her sister, Peg Edwards Wallace of Rochester, IL.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, Brenda and husband John Trifler of Greenwood, IN, Glen and wife Darlene Wallace of Rochester, IL, Barbara and husband Bob McGee of Fairbanks, AK, Steve and wife Deb Wallace of Napa, CA, and Beverly Franks of Deerfield, IL; five grandnieces; six grandnephews; stepson Craig Gill and wife Kathy of Winder, GA; adopted daughter, Kelly A. Long; and adopted granddaughter, Blair Long.
