Shirley Lorraine Bolick, 65, of Highlands, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of Bessie Dryman Barnes and the late Bert Barnes. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Hicks and Judy Ensley and three brothers, Jim, Louis and Jack Barnes. She worked with her husband at their family business, Bolick TV Repair. Shirley attended Highlands Assembly of God where she was church pianist for many years. She was active in youth ministry and transporting many children to church on Sunday morning.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Daniel Bolick; her son, Gabriel Bolick and fiancé, Alicia Hollis of Atlanta; three sisters, Jane English of Persimmon, GA, Diane Leslie of Tiger, GA and Carol Frady of Clayton, GA; brother, Fred Barnes of Scaly Mtn; four grandchildren, Emalee Bolick, Deysi Diaz, Karla Diaz and Shirley Beth Diaz and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 7th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Reverends Al Sizemore, Randy Reed, Larry Bolick and Barbara Head will officiate. Burial will be in the Buck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ben Barnes, Richard Barnes, Chet Ensley, Tony Bolick, Eric Bolick and Benny Speed.
