Obituary
Sarah Irada Russell, 97, of Franklin, NC, entererd into rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2005.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late C.M. "Dutch" Dills and Carrie King Dills. She was married to the late Thomas D. Russell who died in 1942 and was preceded in death by two sons, Carl Thomas Russell and James Daniel Russell and a great granddaughter, Myisha Russell. Irada was the oldest member of Sugarfork Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Wilma Dalton of Franklin; two sisters, Alice Carter of Stuart, FL and Pearl Slocum of Toccoa, GA; four grandchildren; two great grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 10, at Sugarfork Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Alton Dendy will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Lyman Holland, Mike Dills, Darryl Womack, Darrin Womack, Harold Crisp, Willis Teem, and Morlan Bowman.
Memorials may be made to Sugarfork Baptist Church, 56 Shadow Lane, Franklin, NC 28734.
