Sara "Alice" Scott, 93, of Franklin, NC, entered into rest on Saturday, January 7, 2006.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Bill Franks and Nancy Passmore Ertzberger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Scott; two sons, Fred and Clyde Scott and a daughter, Margie Scott. She was a member of Watauga Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, George Scott and Clarence Scott both of Franklin; two daughters, Bonnie Franks of Franklin and Shirley Bradley of Clayton, GA; one brother, Wade Ertzberger of Charleston, SC; one sister, Iva Lee Coggins of Brevard, NC; 13 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Nancy Watts.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, at Watauga Baptist Church. Rev. Gary McCoy, Rev. David Lee Williams and Rev. Roy Lowe will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Caldwell, Terry Scott, Arnold Green, Larry Franks, Gary Franks, Billy Franks, Bobby Franks and Brent Bradley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, C/O Norris Clouse, 2864 Watauga Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
