Obituary
Sam W. Karickhoff, 63, died Monday, June 18, 2007 from injuries sustained in an accident.
He was born October 22, 1943 in Buckhannon, WV, the son of the late Myrle and Geneivie Karickhoff. A long resident of the Athens and Watkinsville, GA area, he had recently retired to Franklin, NC with his wife of 43 years. Always known as a hard worker and intelligent man, he enjoyed success early in life as a farmer and later as an accomplished research chemist. He will best be remembered as a devoted friend and much loved husband, father, brother and granddad.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of Franklin, NC; one son, Brent Karickhoff and wife Laurie; one daughter, Lisa Huskey and husband Tim; and one sister, Anita Queen of Buckhannon, WV; and four grandchildren, Brice and Annie Karickhoff, and Jessie and Lynelle Huskey, all of Cumming, Ga.
Private Services will be held at the home.
