Obituary
Ruth Ellen Barber, 88, of Otto, NC, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012.
Born in Batavia, NY, she was the daughter of the late Ward Newton Barber and Lillian Mary Drees Barber. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Mary Mcguagge. Ruth was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her adopted daughter of 15 years, Christie Mace and husband Larry of Otto; three grandchildren, Colton Harden and wife Rebecca, Adrian Mace and Ethan Mace and great-grandson, Matthew Harden.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1st, at the home of Larry and Christie Mace.
Memorial donations can be made to Angel Hospice General Fund, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
