Ruth Ammons, 80, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012.
Born in Haywood Co., she was the daughter of the late Andrew Hall and Fannie Payne Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer E. Ammons and brothers and sisters, Hazel, Willa Mae, Frances, Verlis, Ruby and Vincent. Ruth loved to garden and being around people. She was a member of Tellico Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Jerry Ammons of Raleigh, Betty Marks of Stuart, FL and Randy Ammons of Franklin; sister, Hilda Ann Hall of Haywood Co; brother, JC Hall of Haywood Co; five grandchildren, David Joshua Marks, Tiffany Paula Marks, Philip Mitchell Marks, Jonathan David Marks and Randy Lee Ammons Jr and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 5 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Bates. Burial will be in Tellico Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
James Waldroop and Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers.
