Russell Lee Deal, 63, of Franklin, passed away at home, October 29, 2015.

Born in Melbourne, FL, he was the son of William "Hilton" Deal and Anna Settle Deal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Deal and Donnie Deal, and sister, Jeannie Deal. Russ proudly worked as a custodian for South Macon Elementary School where he loved the children in the EC classrooms; was a member of Grace Baptist Church; loved fishing, camping, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Lorrie Deal; sisters, Anna Dunlap (Frank), Linda Deal, and Diana Pielow; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Mount Hope Baptist Church. Pastor Aaron Hawkins and Pastor Brian Pitts will officiate.

The family will receive friends one half hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be given to help with the expenses to Mount Hope Baptist Church, C/O Pastor Brian Pitts, 199 Old Patton Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
