Obituary
Ruby Katherine "Kay" Corpening, 85, of Franklin, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late William (Will) and Myrtle Lewis Corpening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde, Burt, Robert and George Corpening and one sister, Kate Arnold. She attended First Baptist Church in Franklin. Kay was a flight attendant for 37 years with Delta Airlines.
She is survived by one brother, Frank Corpening of Franklin, NC; sister, Jane Brannon of Charles Town, WV and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 29th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Dr. Robert Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 29th, prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
