Ruby "Marlene" Thomas Askew of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away December 15, 2014. She was born June 10, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband, O. T. Askew, and her parents, Ernest and Annie Thomas. She is survived by her daughters, Gretta Marlene (Floyd) Hurst of Franklin, NC, and Stephanie Stiles McCall of Highlands, NC; sons, David Lane (Annalee) Stiles of Pikeville, TN, and Judson (Jenny) Stiles of Franklin, NC; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brothers, Edgar Thomas of Tyrone and Wayne Thomas of Griffin; sister, Shirley Matthews, of Palmetto, and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Glenn Stringham officiating. Burial will follow at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Fayetteville, GA. Visitation will be Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
