Roy Anthony Letner, 84, of Otto, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013.
Born in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of the late Roy and Catherine Letner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Dorval and a sister, Catherine. Roy was a U.S. Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict; a building contractor; member of St. Francis Catholic Church and he loved woodworking and reading books.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Marie Wilhelm Letner; son, Robert A. Wilhelm of Otto; brother, Eugene Letner of St. Louis, MO; two sisters, Adele and Virginia of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren, Jesse Luke Dorval, Dawson Blaine Dorval, Nicole E. Wilhelm and Robert C. Wilhelm.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Father Tien Duong will officiate. VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108 will conduct military rites.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
