Obituary
Rose Lea Pelt Moffitt, 71, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2007, at her residence.
A native of Pitkin, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alice Johnson Pelt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Walter Reid Moffitt, Sr. who died in November of 2006.
Surviving are three children, Walter R. Moffitt, Jr. of Lillington, NC, Vickie Sutton of Franklin, NC and Sandy Carpenter of Lake City, FL; three brothers, Kenneth Pelt, Garland Pelt, and Arthur Pelt; one sister, Bobby Diez, all of Louisiana; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private Family Graveside Services will be held Sunday March 4. Rev. Don Moffitt and Dick Richards will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Richard Carpenter, Jerry Sutton, Mike McCall, Byron McCall, Patrick Moore and Cory McCall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holiday Angels, C/O Macon Program for Progress, PO Box 700, Franklin, NC 28744.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
