Rosa Lee Jacobs, 83, of Sarasota, FL, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011.

She was the daughter of the late Edward Lee Whittington and Hetty Raby Whittington Gibson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Carol Whittington and two brothers, Charles Whittington and Jimmy Whittington. Rosa Lee was a very active and faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church, Sarasota, FL. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafts.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Carroll Jacobs; two sons, Mike Jacobs of Clinton Township, Michigan and Jerry Jacobs of West Bloomfield, Michigan; a sister, Frances Crisp of Franklin; a step-sister; two step-brothers; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Crisp, Jeff Jacobs, Greg Jacobs, Chris Jacobs, Larry Jacobs and Vic Green.
