Ronald "Ron" Lee Straley, 74, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

Born in Portland, IN, he was the son of the late Stephen Straley and Anna Mae Siders Straley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Elizabeth Straley and sister, Janice Elaine Wilson. Ron was an Indiana Air National Guard veteran. He was a member of Ft. Myers Lion's Club and was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Elizabeth Clouse Straley; son, Stephen Michael Straley of Homer, OH; brother, Larry Leon Straley of Plainfield, IN and two grandchildren, Joshua Rhyan Straley of Utica, OH and Brendan Colin Straley of Camp Lejune, NC.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 6th at Macon Funeral Home with a eulogy following at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Bonnie Peggs will officiate.

Memorial donations can be made to one's favorite charity.
