Obituary
Ronald Neal Oden, 68, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008.
Born in Grants Pass, Oregon, he was the son of Donald and Evelyn Clouse Lundy. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Higdon Oden. Ron moved from Oak Harbor, Washington to Franklin in 1977. He was of the Seventh Day Adventist faith and a Vietnam Veteran.
Ron is survived by his mother, Evelyn Lundy of Colorado Springs, CO; two sons, Gary Dean Oden and Doug Bryson of Franklin; four daughters, Nancy Ammons of Clayton, GA, Judith C. Clancey of Meridian, ID, Gale Oden and Rhonda Oden of Franklin; two brothers, Dewayne Oden of Colorado Springs, CO and Edgar Oden of Idaho Falls, ID; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Lee Williams and Rev. Judson Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Pallbearers are Larry Ammons, Joseph Marshall, Nathan McConnell, Brent Bradley, Troy Higdon, Norris Clouse and Jr. Ammons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery Association C/O Evelyn Hughes, 190 Dean Drive, Franklin, NC 28734.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
