Robert W. “Bob” Roseboom, 86, of Franklin, NC, went home to rest in the arms of the Lord on Saturday February 21, 2026.

Born on January 14, 1940, in Cooperstown, NY to the late Robert and Eileen nee Vinson Roseboom. Bob graduated in 1962 from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. He taught school for one year before joining the Navy and achieving the rank of LTJG. Following his discharge, he settled in Hampton VA. Several life events eventually brought him to Florida, where he became a Postal Letter Carrier, then transferring to Morganton NC. Upon retiring he moved to Franklin NC. He was a diehard Yankees fan and was loved by all who knew him. He was full of life and never met a stranger.

He is survived by his loving wife Iva; children, Kim Flynn, Tracy Hardin, Kelley Lightcap, Shannon Teunis (Eric), Amber Hall, Tiffany Roseboom, Ryan Roseboom; stepdaughters, Gena Dodd (Simon), Connie Ramirez (Christian); sisters, Martha Ryan and Beverley Striesse; uncle, Don Roseboom (Alice); as well as are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 27th from 1-2pm at Macon Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 2pm in the Chapel. American Legion Post #108 and VFW Post #7339 will conduct military rites. Rev. Brian Holland will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for memorials to be made to Four Seasons Hospice.
