Obituary
Robert Peek Lawton, 83, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
Born in Ventura, CA, he was the son of the late Fredrick Lawton and Harriett Peek Lawton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Barry Lawton. Robert was a US Army veteran; a dedicated educator, he received an honorary doctorate from Texas A&M and in 2012 received the first ever club educators award; a gifted artist and watercolorist; and owner of the Creative Circus.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Linda Ross; four children, Elisabeth Flanigin of South Florida, Shawn Crowley of Florida, Heather Bohmann of Georgia and Matthew Lawton of Texas and six grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held in Atlanta, GA.
