Obituary

Robert "Bob" Killian, 64, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008.
Born in East Hanover, NJ, he was the son of the late Anton Killian and Alma Sweeney Killian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Killian and Anton Killian. Bob served as a Police Officer with Macon County's Sheriff's Department for 12 years and was a U.S. Marine Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He retired from Oakland Park Police Department after 20 years and moved from Hollywood, Fl in 1996 to Franklin. Bob loved being "Uncle Bob" and was loved by all of his nieces and nephews.
Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruth Helen Killian; one daughter, Denise Poage of Raleigh, NC; one son, Paul Frates of Huntsburg, OH and three sisters, Mary Schaino of Hollywood, FL, Marge Glutting of East Hanover, NJ and Carol Disoway of Hollywood, FL.
